چکیده

For securing more water resources, traditional solutions including seawater desalination are limited due to high cost and restricted operating conditions. Thus, acoustic stimulation of rainfall is a potential alternative method its low convenient operation. Low-frequency fields can be used stimulate through evoking wavy motion air particles in clouds which will significantly enhance the process collision coalescence cloud droplets lead their volume increase. Nevertheless, there still lack rational methods evaluate effect enhancement field experiments. To this end, study, nearly two-month experiments with 39 trials were carried out by our research team Tibetan Plateau. Statistical analysis was applied wave on precipitation stimulation. The results average intensity distribution using ordinary least square disclose that interference has considerable enhancement. Such increases along increase duration index potential. events than two hours, improved 72% at experiment site. phenomena consistent fact larger contain beneficial coagulation process.

The effect of parameters of low-frequency electrical stimulation on piriform-cortex kindled seizures in rat

Introduction: Electrical low-frequency stimulation (LFS) has antiepileptic effect, but the role of different stimulation parameters on this effect has not been determined. In this study the effect of different LFS parameters (intensity, pulse duration and train duration) on piriform-cortex kindled seizures was investigated. Methods: Seizure was produced in animals using kindling model of ep...

The Psychophysics of Low-frequency Acoustic Hearing in Electric and Acoustic Stimulation (eas) and Bimodal Patients.

This paper provides a review of the current literature on psychophysical properties of low-frequency hearing, both before and after implantation, with a focus on frequency selectivity, nonlinear cochlear processing, and speech perception in temporally modulated maskers for bimodal listeners as well as patients with hearing preservation in the implanted ear and receiving combined electric and ac...

Contralateral acoustic stimulation modulates low-frequency biasing of DPOAE: efferent influence on cochlear amplifier operating state?

The mammalian efferent medial olivocochlear system modulates active amplification of low-level sounds in the cochlea. Changes of the cochlear amplifier can be monitored by distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAEs). The quadratic distortion product f2-f1 is known to be sensitive to changes in the operating point of the amplifier transfer function. We investigated the effect of contralate...

Evaluation of low frequency stimulation in fully kindled rats

To evaluate the potential of stimulation techniques to suppress epileptic activity, human studies are limited regarding the analysis of stimulation parameters. Animal models can serve for a systematic study of the efficacy of different stimulation paradigms. Earlier studies demonstrated that in animal models of kindling, short term low frequency stimulation (LFS) applied during the kindling pro...
